location: Chandrapur, Assam.
This is a true story of my father when he got his first job. It was the night when he was returning on his bike from one of my aunt's wedding in Khanapara to Chandrapur as he has to report early morning in his office so he decided to travel at night. That was one of his most unforgettable nights. It was nearly 1.50 am, he saw a fisherman walking by the side of the road. That area was really spooky and my father was relieved to see a man as he thought that he would be a company in the lonely road. But my father couldn't slow down his bike to that extent to have company of that stranger so he paced up his speed and went away from him. Then it was the time he was to cross the railway track which was famous for its unusual encounters but my father was unaware of this fact. Suddenly he came across two tribal girls dressed in their traditional attire crossed infront of him. He thought they too might be returning from a wedding nearby. After a while he was stopped by a huge mob of people and was asked where he was heading. He told his purpose and he saw a familiar face from the mob and asked why this crowd? They said there was a robbery in the next village. Then one of the man asked him whether he saw anything unusual while coming? He said he saw a fisherman and two tribal girls. The whole mob got shocked hearing this and confronted him that he was lucky to be alive. Then my father asked the reason. They said that anybody walking near the fisherman was killed by him. And next the two tribal girls were passengers of a picnic bus which met with an accident in that very railway track. Those girls were spirits and didn't have any legs. My father couldn't see it because his headlight was focused on the upper side. After hearing all this my father got as pale as ghost. Then he took Lord Shiva's name and continued his journey and morning he reported for his work and recited his frightful experience to his colleagues.
This was not only one experience in his life but he had many other ghostly encounters which he narrates us and he still gets goosebumps telling them.
